This 19th century farmhouse is located in the 13th century hamlet of L’Albola, in the heart of the Chianti wine-producing region. There are panoramic views of the castle of L’Albola and town of Radda in Chianti from the farmhouse. The farmhouse is conveniently located three miles from the picturesque town of Radda in Chianti.

Il Colto is comfortably furnished and has a cozy feel. The first floor living room with lovely terracotta floors and wood-beam ceilings has a fireplace, several couches, and a satellite TV and CD player. One part of the room serves as a dining area, and it is separated from the kitchen by a large stone arch. Also on this level is a bedroom, which can be made up as a double or twin, with an ensuite bathroom and a door to the garden. Il Colto has some nice features for groups with small children or people with limited mobility.

The double bedroom on the second floor has a king-size bed and a window view of the castle and countryside. There is a large bathroom just outside this room. A twin bedroom with ensuite bathroom has a view of the garden and the hills. All the bathrooms have a Jacuzzi bathtub and a separate shower. Each bedroom has its own satellite TV and CD player.

Near the swimming pool is a covered verandah that serves as a refreshment center with a refrigerator, microwave oven, stereo and plates for dining. A beautiful stone barbeque is nearby. The swimming pool faces the views and can be heated for an extra charge. This area is wonderful for dining or relaxing.

The farmhouse is equipped with air conditioning throughout, a sauna and Jacuzzi tub, washing machine, clothes dryer, dishwasher, microwave oven, hair dryers, baby cot and high chair, telephone, fax, a computer, American coffeemaker, and toaster oven. All windows have screens, and the rooms have ceiling fans. There are six mountain bikes with helmets available for guests’ use. A welcome buffet is provided upon arrival. There is also Wi-Fi for high-speed Internet access. For an extra charge, a cook is available and cooking classes can be arranged.
