Castagno is one of six apartments in a farmhouse that was carefully restored with materials in the original typical Tuscan architectural style. The farmhouse is on a hill, set among vineyards and woods that are fenced in for privacy. Access to the property is through an electronic gate. The grounds have a large swimming pool, a stone barbecue with a pizza oven, and plenty of furnished garden spaces.

Castagno is on the second floor of the farmhouse, and has plenty of light and a cheerful feel. The entrance into the apartment is from a private furnished terrace on the side of the farmhouse that can be used for dining and relaxing. The kitchen area is in the corner of the dining room, and has a gas range, electric oven, microwave, and refrigerator. The living room is reached through an archway on the left side of the dining room, and has a large panoramic window facing the countryside view. From the living room, there are doors that lead to the double bedroom, twin bedroom and the bathroom with a shower.

The apartment has heating available for an extra charge. There is a common laundry room with ironing facilities, and a baby cot is available.

Castagno is located in an excellent location for visiting the Chianti area, Siena and Florence. Shops, restaurants and public tennis courts can be found less than two miles away in Radda in Chianti, and the town of Castellina in Chianti is 9 miles away.

In addition to Castagno, there are three similar apartments for four people, and two apartments for two people, on the same property grounds.
