Located within 10 miles of Florence, Casa Vincenzo is a terrific base for clients wishing to be centrally located for touring Tuscany. Virtually all the major tourist destinations of the region can be reached within one hour from the property, such as the historic towns of San Gimignano, Siena, Lucca, and Pisa, as well as the coastal towns of Forte dei Marmi and Viareggio. The property is close to the town of Montelupo Fiorentino, which has been a major ceramics center for centuries.

Casa Vincenzo is a farmhouse built in the 1800's, which was lovingly restored by the current owner in 2007. The farm has been in the owner's family since 1970, and the renovation of the farmhouse was carried out with an emphasis on comfort and tradition. Handmade local ceramics, marble fixtures and fine linens and fabrics are some of the many refined touches apparent at Casa Vincenzo. The farmhouse has a cozy feel, and the attention to every detail in the interior decoration is evident throughout. A staff is available to assist guests.

Situated on a property of approximately 100 acres, the approach to the farmhouse is via a cypress-lined drive past vineyards and olive groves, and a paddock well below the farmhouse that is home to horses. Olives, grapes, various fruits and table crops are harvested on the farm. The lovely covered pergolas and the extensive terraces offer wonderful places to relax, dine and enjoy the peace and charm of the surrounding Tuscan countryside.

Casa Vincenzo develops on two floors, with easy access to the outside. On the first floor, there is a living room with comfortable seating and satellite TV, and a dining room with a fireplace and wood oven. A special feature of this floor is a sunroom with a table and chairs for those occasions when indoor dining is preferable. The kitchen is fully equipped with modern conveniences. The kitchen may only be used with a member of the staff present. The staff at Casa Vincenzo will prepare a full breakfast every day for guests at the rental, and a welcome dinner is also provided .A cook is available to prepare lunch or dinner for guests for an extra charge. There is daily maid service.

Casa Vincenzo has five bedrooms, all with ensuite bathrooms. One of the bedrooms is on the first floor, and the others are on the second floor. Each of the bedrooms has cast iron beds, satellite TV, telephone, Internet access, and individual controls for heating and air-conditioning. Two of the bedrooms can either be configured as double bedrooms (king-sized) or twin bedded rooms. There is also a king-size bedroom, a queen-size bedroom, and a single bedroom. If needed, there is sufficient space in three of the bedrooms to add a single bed, bringing the capacity of the farmhouse to 12 people.

The swimming pool has a southern exposure in a location that provides it with sunshine throughout the day. There is a small gym facility in a separate part of the property. While horses are currently on the property, they are privately owned, and they are not available for riding. Hiking is available nearby, and the staff can arrange for mountain bike excursions. Cooking lessons with a local chef can also be arranged. The owner speaks excellent English, and lives on the property. She will provide assistance for sightseeing on request, but will not intrude on guests' privacy. A staff member lives in the farmhouse in a bedroom on the first floor.

Casa Vincenzo is equipped with a, dishwasher, fully equipped kitchen, extra refrigerator, satellite TV in bedrooms, multi-region DVD players and extensive DVD library, hair dryers in each bedroom, individual room controlled central heating and air-conditioning, screens on all windows, telephone, fax, WI-FI internet access in common areas of the farmhouse, dialup Internet access, GPS available for loan, and Italian cell phones available for rental.
