Casa Avallone is an independent house situated on a hillside in the town of Positano on the Amalfi coast. It offers stunning views of pastel-colored houses in Positano and the ever-changing colors of the Mediterranean Sea. When not out touring, guests will want to spend all of their time on the fabulous 50-foot covered terrace taking in the views, relaxing on the comfortable furniture, and having meals at a well-placed dining table.

Casa Avallone has a distinctly Mediterranean seaside feel, with its white washed walls, terracotta floors, spacious rooms and tall windows. The furnishings are a combination of quality antiques and informal wood or wicker. Because of its perch on the hillside, the sea breezes come through the rooms, which makes the house an inviting place in the warmer weather.

The house develops on one level, and the rooms with their high ceilings flow into each other. Three of the rooms have doors opening onto the terrace. The living/dining room is spacious with several windows that bring in a lot of light. It is next to a study filled with books. The master bedroom has a queen-size bed and an ensuite bathroom with both a bathtub and a separate shower.

The second large bedroom can be made into a double or a twin. An additional single bed can be added to this room to accommodate five people. It also has its own ensuite bathroom with a bathtub.

A third bathroom with a shower and the washing machine are located at one end of the terrace. The kitchen is fully equipped and has a small table and two chairs.

For guests who want to have a car, a parking garage for one car is 150 feet below the entrance to the house, and parking is included in the weekly rental price. This is a very convenient and unique feature because parking is virtually impossible to find in Positano. The house is located close to a bus stop for the town's internal shuttle bus, and the beach is a 15- minute walk away.

Daily maid service for two hours a day is included in the rental price. The maid is an excellent cook can prepare meals for guests for an additional charge. The house is equipped with a washing machine, microwave oven, fans in the bedrooms and a CD player. There is no TV and no heating.
