Right in the historic center of Rome, Apartment Moderna offers a beautiful setting and ideal location for staying in the Eternal City. It is between the famous Spanish Steps that lead to the popular Piazza di Spagna, and the renowned Trevi Fountain. It is also within walking distance of the Colosseum, the Roman Forum, and many other historic sites and museums. There are many fine restaurants, wine bars, and cafes in the neighborhood, as well as top designer stores. The apartment is close to the subway, taxi stands, bus stops and bike rentals, and a supermarket and several pharmacies are also nearby. In short, Apartment Moderna is an excellent base for exploring all that Rome has to offer, and a terrific choice for the discerning tourist.

The apartment is on the second floor of a traditional palazzo built in the late 1880s, and can be reached by one flight of stairs or an elevator. There is a security gate in the building's entrance foyer. The apartment was fully renovated in 2010 by its American owner, and provides a high level of accommodation, including air conditioning and heating. The apartment's entrance hall is welcoming, with interesting art, built-in bookcases with many books on Rome, and additional closet space. Off of this entrance hall is the dining room, with a table that seats six people; a window to the street makes this a cheery space. The living room has all new, high-quality furnishings, and is elegant and very comfortable. Several large windows bring in a lot of light, and there is lovely art and antique prints on the walls. There is seating for 8, a flat screen satellite TV, a DVD player, and an iPod with docking station in the living room. The kitchen has been fully renovated in sparkling glass tiles and has all new appliances, including a refrigerator, gas stove and oven, dishwasher, and microwave. There is an American coffeemaker and a toaster, as well as a washing machine/clothes dryer.

The master king-size bedroom is quite large, also with all new furnishings. There is a writing desk in the room and an iPod docking station. A sofa bed in this room comfortably sleeps an adult in case two people want to share the room but use separate beds. The second bedroom has two new twin beds. Both bedrooms look down on a small courtyard, so there is minimal city noise. There are two full bathrooms in Apartment Moderna. One of them has a bathtub and shower attachment. The other bathroom has a small shower with glass doors. Both bathrooms were fully renovated in sparkling glass tiles.

Apartment Moderna has been thoughtfully equipped with many amenities. A laptop computer with complimentary WI-FI Internet access is available. A telephone is also provided (local calls are free but long distance and calls to cell phones require a phone card). Bathrobes, umbrellas, a hair dryer, an iron and ironing board, and numerous books on Rome are also provided.

An English-speaking property manager will meet guests at the apartment at check-in, provide the keys, collect the security deposit, and answer any questions about the apartment, the neighborhood, and getting around Rome. Apartment Moderna is a No Smoking property, and pets are not permitted.

The rental price includes utilities (water, electricity, gas for cooking), air conditioning and heating, linen, and final cleaning.
