Apartment Castello is a small, cozy studio apartment of about 400 square feet on the second floor of a restored building. It is located in the Castello neighborhood of Venice, just behind the church of San Giovanni e Paolo and near the main hospital. A vaporetto stop is about a 10- minute walk from the apartment.
The apartment was tastefully restored in 2009 with very modern furniture and lots of colorful spaces. Mirrors enhance the look of the interior design, and give light to the apartment. The decorations include the use of the color orange as an accent for effect. There is nice artwork on the walls, and various pieces of colored Venetian glass are displayed throughout. There are plenty of wardrobes for clothing, and good lighting.
The main part of the apartment is a living/dining/sleeping room with two windows that overlook a lovely garden. In one part of the room is a large Murphy bed that easily folds up into the wall to create a larger living space when it is not being used. It looks like a large white box, and it is a comfortable double bed for two people. The rest of the space in this room has been well designed and has artistic touches. There is a satellite TV and a radio.
A glass wall divides the main room from the corridor leading to the bathroom and kitchen. The bathroom has a shower and is decorated in orange tile; it has a window. The kitchen has lime green accents. It has a microwave oven, four- burner cook top, regular oven, tall refrigerator/freezer, and a washing machine. Maid service is available for an additional fee.
Apartment Castello is available for weekly rentals. Although the apartment is small, it is well designed and comfortable. Given the reasonable price, it is an attractive option for a stay in Venice.
